ABRACE is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen the Brazilian community in the United States through the preservation of our culture and language. With your support, we overcame the initial challenges brought by the pandemic. After three semesters leading virtual classes, we were able to resume our in-person program, keep the online format for those living away from our region, and provide educational opportunities for over 130 students, while promoting a safe and healthy environment. To continue doing that, we need to raise $15,000 by December 31st. Please donate!

We offer Portuguese as a heritage language classes to children and grandchildren of Brazilian immigrants. They meet in-person and virtually every Saturday to experience their family’s culture and traditions and to cultivate their pride in being Brazilian-American citizens.
Throughout over 16 years, we have served more than 1,000 families in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia with classes, cultural fairs, story time for babies, literary picnics, youth volunteer program, and a mobile library with more than 1,500 books — and so much more. We are the only organization in our region to offer all of these community outreach programs to the Brazilian community in one single place.
ABRACE is a community association that is only possible thanks to the dedication and support of a growing community of caring people. Please donate and make ABRACE a success story for years to come.
Thank you for your generosity.
